About Aston Fruit Farm

Aston Fruit Farm is a 25 hectare fruit farm located in the heart of a traditional fruit growing area near the market town of Ross-on-Wye in South Herefordshire.

Aston Fruit Farm is in the ownership of the Morton family and in 2007 we celebrated our centenary. The farm is currently run by David and Sally and we move forward as the fourth generation is showing interest in continuing the family business and its traditions.

The farm's primary crop has always been dessert apples but there have been times when the farm has also grown a wide range of fruit, vegetable and cereal crops including: cooking apples, runner and French beans, celery, lettuce, courgettes, radishes, sweet corn, wheat, maize and barley, potatoes, plums, cherries, cider and apple juice. For a period, Aston Fruit Farm was a significant supplier of strawberries and raspberries to UK supermarket and high street food stores.

David is a wildlife enthusiast and has recorded over a hundred different species of bird either on or over-flying the farm. The farm also maintains several miles of hedgerows, a small stream, a pond and a lake providing excellent wildlife habitats.
